With National coverage LDS have located thousands of homeowners leaks and realise how devastating a leak can be to your property causing water damage and costly repairs to your home.

Occasionally it may not be possible for you or your plumber to locate the source of the leak and can also be due to obstacles such as floorboards, walls and cupboards. This is where leak detection can be most helpful as the leak detection equipment is specially designed to find a leak anywhere in your property without causing any damage.

Sometimes there will be visible evidence of a water leak such as dampness, water stains and actual water, however in other cases there is no evidence apart from a very high water bill! Common water leaks in the home are on the Central Heating System or on the mains pipe work in the kitchen or bathroom.

Central heating leaks could be the cause of your boiler losing pressure on a sealed system, this could mean that you may have a hidden leak on your central heating pipe work somewhere in your property.  Whatever your heating system, whether it is old or new, our experienced engineers will be able to diagnose if the problem is in the boiler or the pipe work.

Hidden leaks can be difficult to find.  At Leak Detection Specialists our engineers use specialised leak detection equipment to find your leak causing little or no damage to your property.  Our leak detection engineers have many years experience in finding leaks and use various leak detection methods to accurately locate your water leak to 1 square metre, so any excavation is kept to a minimum when the pipes are repaired.

Our Leak Detection Survey includes:

  • An experienced qualified mechanical engineer
  • Latest ‘state of the art’ equipment to accurately locate your leak which means minimal disruption to your property
  • The appropriate testing and inspection process to locate and pinpoint your leak
  • A full written report with photos and recommendations (Insurance approved)

On completion of our Leak Detection Survey we provide a fully comprehensive leak detection report including colour photographs and recommendations. You will then be able to make arrangements with your local plumber to fix the leak.

You may be able to claim on your home insurance if it covers “Trace and Access”.  A majority of policies now have this cover.  If you are covered for this, then your insurer should reimburse you for the cost of the survey less any excess.

Really pleased with the work

I was really pleased with the work that Mark did – he kept me informed of the services he was carrying out and worked hard to find the source of the leak. Would highly recommend him and the service offered by LDS.

How impressed I was at the service provided

Just wanted to let you know how impressed I was at the service provided by your engineer yesterday. He was very competent and professional in the way he undertook his investigation works. He established exactly where the leak was and I consider the fee charged money well spent.

Very meticulous with the survey

Brett was very meticulous with the survey taking his time on what is quite a difficult problem to diagnose. He answered all our questions and his report was excellent and covered all the points it would do to help us get the plumber to attend to the work.
